Saturday social
Our Saturday Social on November 15 at Tour Mechanics in Central Hong Kong brought together golfers and friends for an evening of relaxed competition and great vibes. Guests enjoyed friendly rounds of Nearest Pin and Longest Drive, with plenty of standout shots and light-hearted rivalry.
Thanks to Young Master Brewery, everyone stayed refreshed with tasty beers, while music from the Dim Sum Morning Range playlist set the tone for a lively, social atmosphere. We were excited to launch our limited-edition Dim Sum Golf Club x Mogshade t-shirt, which was a hit with attendees.
The Jockey Club Kau Sai Chau Public Golf Course
We also found the time to head out to The Jockey Club Kau Sai Chau Public Golf Course for a friendly match play round with Luke from Dim Sum Golf Club, and the day couldn’t have been better.
The highlights of the round were an almost hole-in-one and a rare run of three straight birdies by Nicola, sparking a near-miraculous comeback after being 6 down through the first 10 holes. Despite the hot streak, Luke held strong and ultimately took the deserved win in match play.
Kau Sai Chau is Hong Kong’s only public golf course. Opened in 1995 as a community project funded by The Hong Kong Jockey Club, the course transformed the remote island of Kau Sai Chau into a world-class golfing destination. Designed by Gary Player and offering panoramic views of the South China Sea, the complex now includes three courses: North, South, and East — each with its own personality and challenge. Accessible only by ferry, the trip itself adds to the charm. Once you arrive, the mix of dramatic coastline, open fairways, and natural wildlife makes it one of the most unique golfing experiences in the region.
