The rarest drop
High in the Serra da Estrela, where winters are long, Churra sheep have grazed for decades. Native to this mountain range, the breed is now protected due to the risk of extinction, kept alive through the work of local shepherds.
The wool of our Churra Collection comes from a small flock, shorn once a year as part of a routine that hasn’t changed much over time. In Miguel Choco, the sheep live freely at the Quinta do Nuno e da Julieta, and their wool is collected in limited quantities.
From there, it’s cleaned, processed, and eventually locally shaped into a beautiful fabric. Nothing is rushed, and nothing is scaled beyond what nature allows.
Using churra wool means working within limits, alongside the people who continue to care for the land and the animals.
The result isn’t about storytelling for its own sake. It’s simply where the material comes from, and why it looks and feels the way it does.
